Short legs for Camera Tripod
thingiverse

Short Tripod Legs
I designed these to go with my 3LeggedThing Leo2.0 tripod (https://www.3leggedthing.com/uk/3-legged-thing-leo-2-0-carbon-fibre-tripod-system.html) to convert the full-size tripod into a table top model. You simply unscrew the standard rubber boots (which are on a 1/4 -20 UNC thread) from the tripod and screw them into the bottom of these legs. Next, unscrew the tripod legs and replace them with these legs. They should work with any other tripod that uses 3/8-16 UNC screw in legs. You will need to buy some 1inch long 3/8-16 UNC grub screws with hex slots in (try eBay or Amazon). Carefully screw the grub screws into the foot, use a 17mm AF spanner on the flats if they are too tight a fix. Leave about 10mm of thread exposed - if you screw it in too far then you will split the leg. The existing rubber boots should screw into the smaller 1/4-20 UNC tapped hole. If they get tight, reverse them a little and then try again. I printed mine in Prusament Jet Black PLA since I thought it matched the tripod although any PLA should do. I also used a 0.15mm layer height with 15% infill See also my set of spiked tripod feet.
