The forelimb skeleton of a short-beaked echidna (Tachyglossus aculeatus, YPM Mam 014872), preserved in a fluid-filled state at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. This detailed model was created by Karina Riddell using advanced Volumegraphics software from VGStudioMax 3.3, sourced from a high-quality CT scan taken by a Phoenix V|Tome|X S machine. The model was specifically designed to accompany an educational activity developed during the UF Center for Precollegiate Education and Training workshop “3D Vertebrates: From Museum Collections to Classroom Applications.” Funding for scanning and modeling this specimen came from the oVert project at the University of Florida (NSF DBI 1701714, https://tinyurl.com/oVertwiki). CT scan data of this echidna forelimb are accessible at: https://www.morphosource.org/Detail/SpecimenDetail/Show/specimen_id/18370
