Short barrel/body for Parker Vector fountain pen
thingiverse
This study focuses on internal threads while I've always coveted a smaller Parker Vector fountain pen; some of my shirt pockets aren't large enough to accommodate the pen. What's printed may not align with reality when printed, due to inaccuracies common in small items with close tolerances. I utilize the threads.scad library from https://dkprojects.net/openscad-threads/, ensuring you store threads.scad in your library path. The original Parker Vector fountain pen features a "top hat" cylindrical portion at the back for the cap to post, which proved difficult to print consistently. Sometimes it was too tight and required sanding; other times it was too loose. To compensate for these inconsistencies, I designed the back with a tapered shape so that even if the print isn't accurate, the cap can still be posted firmly. No supports, rafts, or adhesion plate are necessary. Code is included to enable you to create your own customized barrel. The Parker Vector rollerball pen shares the same threads for its barrel.
