Mrcleanr6's candle holders have received an upgrade with modified designs, removing a recess in the base and top overhangs. These modifications necessitate fewer support materials during printing, producing a neater finish. To facilitate a better build experience, I revised the design by eliminating the inset area in the base and extending the candle holder area. This change allows for a generous soft-velvet base to prevent desk and table scratches. I also added a locating block to eliminate overhangs at the top, making it easier to print without additional support. While retaining the original cover, this revised version eliminates support requirements from unnecessary elements. For assembly, use cyano glue to join parts together, ensuring that the top is aligned correctly before setting. To produce an exceptional print, utilize the following parameters: a shell thickness of approximately 1mm and 10-20% infill density. Print at a speed not exceeding 30mm/s or reduce for a higher-quality finish with fewer shadows on rivets. Once printed, attach the top to the base, then fill the centre with sand or kitty litter before sealing it with glue. I opted for 8mm sisal rope glued securely to prevent any loose ends. Be cautious when burnishing off excess strands with a lighter, taking care not to melt the surrounding plastic material.
