ShopVac connector
thingiverse
I required a connector from my Carvewright machine to my ShopVac. The DC Dust collector I bought had a 4" outlet pipe, while my shop Vac hose measured 2 1/4". Failing to find a compatible connection at Home Depot, I decided to fabricate one myself. This creation was designed using Tinkercad; it can be edited online here: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/kv7wUxP5Tqz Instructions With this updated design, you'll need to employ the use of support material. Unfortunately, I didn't anticipate the overhang issue inside the model until I initiated printing. To improve dust extraction, the interior features a smooth cone shape. However, I initially neglected to use support and, as a result, the internal area became disordered; yet it did eventually seal. Therefore, please print with a support for now to prevent this problem. I utilized a 10% fill ratio and 2 shells when printing. The connection took approximately three hours to manufacture on my Makerbot Replicator in black ABS.
