Shopsmith Power Coupler
thingiverse
A redesign of Krunchy's power coupler is underway, taking its capabilities to new heights. The coupler has been enlarged by 5% to ensure a seamless fit, while a strategically placed hole in the middle adds an extra layer of strength and stability. A bevel on the outside not only enhances the shaft's overall robustness but also provides a smoother surface finish. To facilitate effortless slicing with support disabled, additional reinforcement has been incorporated into the design. For optimal results, I highly recommend printing this remake using either ABS or PETG filament. My own prototype is performing exceptionally well with PETG at 0.26mm layer height and a 0.4mm nozzle diameter. To guarantee strong inter-layer bonding, it's advisable to print slightly above standard temperatures.
