Shopsmith Grease Guard for Quill (Greenie)
cults3d
I'm restoring an old Shopsmith Greenie from the 1950s. The grease guard that helps lubricate the quill for the main drill press/drive was all cracked and worn out, so I figured this would be a good application for my printer at home. I replicated the dimensions of the original, and my printer is calibrated to high tolerances - yours may need scaling/tweaking for this fitted part to work properly. I used a heat gun to slightly warm the plastic before putting it on the shaft. If you're printing in ABS, you'll probably want to scale the model between 1-3%. This is a highly specialized part, but if someone can use it, hooray! https://youtu.be/85NoBRKUA0A
