This innovative design aims to eliminate contact with the handles of shopping carts, which are frequently handled by numerous people daily and often neglected in terms of regular cleaning. Inspired by the numerous no-touch concepts shared on this platform, this creation was born as a result of this inspiration. As a final project for my team's ENGR-199 class, this design was conceived with the goal of providing a hygienic solution to an everyday issue. Crafted in SketchUp, users are free to download and modify the original file to suit their needs. This design is intended to accommodate most standard shopping cart sizes. To bring this concept to life, PLA material was selected for its printability. For optimal stability, it's recommended to use at least a 50% infill setting; however, a higher infill percentage will result in an even stronger product. The item measures approximately 6 inches in length.
