A new idea of a "Shopping Cart Chip Holder" with all components made of metal.A robust design without using plastic material.Materials could be brass, aluminium, copper, stainless steel and spring steel.A disassembling for changing the 'relaxed' wire spring is surely possible.Make your own design, based on my idea and use threads as a fastening solution instead of my press-fit connection.Note that brass and aluminium have approximately the same coefficient of thermal expansion.That is the reason why these materials are very useful for press joints and moveable threads of two different materials, which are exposed to fluctuating temperatures.May be a nice work for an intermediate examination for trainees in precision mechanics.The complete model is available as a STEP file (.stp) only.
