Shop-Vac Replacement Hose Adapter
thingiverse
This is modeled after a hose attachment commonly found on a Shop-Vac's vacuum side. Specifically designed for use with my 6-Gallon QuietSeries vac, which I acquired after discovering that its hose had broken off. Work in Progress (WIP): To confirm whether it functions properly, I need to fit the part and test it out. (2017/03/29: Test fitted the part last night. It's just a bit too large, doesn't seat well. I'll have to recheck against the original design and shrink it slightly.) Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 6 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.22 Infill: 20% Notes: Sliced in Cura Lulzbot edition using standard ABS settings (0.22mm layer height, 20% infill). I printed it with the small end facing down and used supports on the outside to take care of the hose-barb while keeping the interior smoother at the expense of a rougher exterior. Post-Printing Peel off any remaining supports, which may need smoothing (I haven't fully tested it yet). Trim your remaining hose flat and shove it onto the small end. The large end should fit snugly into the Shop-Vac. How I Designed This Designed in FreeCad 0.16, this model was created after the original with some slight modifications (Tapered the smaller inside portion, rounded and/or chamfered edges).
