I recklessly ran over my trusty old Craftsman shop vac hose with my vehicle and snapped off the end. I was astonished that finding a replacement wouldn't be an easy task, so I decided to create one myself. I believe this new piece should fit perfectly into your standard 2 1/2" hose for most vacuum cleaners. My own older model 16-gallon unit didn't warrant purchasing an entirely new hose when it would cost nearly as much as buying a whole new machine. This is the attachment connector that links tools to the hose, not just any ordinary coupler.
