Shop Vac Hose Adapter
thingiverse
This adapter fits Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac Replacement Hose, but it works perfectly with any brand of shop vac using a 2 1/2" hose. The adapter part converts 2.5 inches to 1.25 inches. You can purchase this hose and adapter on Amazon by clicking here. Most power saws in the US have places to attach a 1.25" shop vac hose, minimizing sawdust mess. This is the weakest part that breaks easily. Mine lasted several years before it eventually failed due to its sharp 90-degree angle design where the small cylinder meets the larger one. I redesigned it with a 7mm fillet inside and out, making it much stronger even though it's 3D printed. I printed it using a 0.6mm nozzle and a 0.2mm layer height but it was designed to be optimally printed with a 1.0mm nozzle. I suggest using the same 0.2mm layer height for strength, regardless of the size nozzle. Maximize your layer adhesion for a part like this that will be stressed by printing at a high temperature around 200-210 degrees. Slow down your print speed to ensure solidified layers before moving on to the next one. The center hole doesn't go all the way through where it changes from 2.5" to 1.25". This was done intentionally to make bridging easier for the printer, so you'll need to cut out that one layer (0.2mm) at the transition point. Print with a 3-4mm brim since this part has a very small printbed footprint.
