shop vac cartridge filter retainer
thingiverse
I recently was given a 5 gallon shop-vac model 87745-84. The vac only had its wet filter in place, much to my surprise when I tried to suck up some sheetrock dust (promptly blasting a terrible gypsum dust cloud across my living room). I quickly ordered a filter and then realized I had no way to attach the vac! This is a filter base mount that you can add to your vac if yours is missing or damaged, it replaces 30080-00 I believe. I think this fits 5 gallon and up sized shop-vac, but I only have the 5 gallon to test it on. I sized the tapered center hole for a 1/4-20 stud. You will have to add this stud by drilling a hole into plastic filter holder base of your vacuum.I added a second nut to hold the stud tight to the vacuum filter housing, and then a nut and washer to hold the filter cap on. It would be simple to do this in 6mm metric as well, I just used what I had around the shop. Extra parts needed: (1) 1/4"-20 x 1.5" bolt (2) 1/4"-20 nuts (1) 1/4" washer at .8mm wall and 20% infill, this took about 12 hours on my Ender 3 V2. not super quick, but much quicker and cheaper than ordering. Fits filter 90340 as tested, but should also fit 90304 and 90350. For free use, not for sale.
