When I tackle woodworking projects in my garage, I've found it essential to connect a shop vac directly to my tools to efficiently capture the sawdust generated during cuts. This calls for me to constantly remember to flip on the shop vac switch before making any cut, which can be easy to forget. Fortunately, there's an innovative device known as an auto switch that simplifies this process, and I decided to build one from scratch using an Arduino microcontroller, a current sensor, and a relay module.
