I've designed this for high-performance Rival Nerf guns. Warning: The gun has an upgraded spring and can handle the force required to spin it from one side to the other if you hit the target squarely. I'm unsure about airsoft guns, due to the lack of mass in airsoft ammo, a high-velocity gun would be needed. The swivel arms are webbed to reduce mass so the Rival ball can move it smoothly. Webbing on the arm might not be necessary if you plan to use a BB gun. I recommend making targets from a urethane sheet or thicker 1/4" acrylic for BB guns. I used a Ø1/4" magnet size for the Rival ammo, and a Ø3/8" magnet size is also provided. I used 1/4" thick acrylic for the mounting wall brackets and swivel arms, and 0.100" thick acrylic for the targets. The round rod is a steel 3/4" tube from a broom handle. All other parts, except hardware, are 3D printed. The unit hangs on the wall using 3M Command adhesive hooks. Tapping holes in all 3D parts requires the following tap sizes: 6-32 UNC, 10-24 UNC, and 1/4-20 UNC. A variety of target sizes is available within the svg file to choose from. Several other guns have been tested since its initial publication. These include the Rival Artemis and Dart Zone Liberator. Testing has shown that webbing on wall mounting brackets weakens them too much and causes excessive deflection, resulting in sagging. Additional webbing will be added to the pivot arm for added stability. A direct shot in the center of a web can break it, causing further sagging.
