Some of you might know the standard shoot-the-moon game. I'm presenting an ultra-challenging variation that ups the ante significantly. The game starts with the ball positioned at one end of the setup, while the players grip the handles of the lower two bars located at the opposite end. The initial task is to synchronise these lower bars by bringing them together to get the ball in motion. As momentum builds, a high degree of skill and fine motor control are required to slowly adjust the positions of the lower bars, allowing the upper bars to move apart while still propelling the ball towards its target. The goal is to achieve as much distance as possible before the ball drops. A particularly vexing aspect of this ultra-challenging game variant is the incorporation of a gear transmission mechanism into the setup. When players move the lower bars together, they simultaneously trigger movement of the upper bars away from each other.
