Shogi Pieces American Simplified
thingiverse
Inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4481168 but completely re-implemented in OpenScad with piece sizes, proportions, and dimensions much closer to official pieces. Added a curly quote for the promoted side of the pieces. The King and Gold General cannot be promoted so they don't have a flip side. Description copied from that design: > A set of shogi pieces that illustrate how each piece can move, as will as forgo the kanji for an initialism. Intended for English speakers learning the game. > > A complete traditional shogi set will include the following: > Pawn (P) x 18 > Lance (L) x 4 > Knight (N) x 4 > Silver (S) x 4 > Gold (G) x 4 > Bishop (B) x 2 > Rook (R) x 2 > King (K) x 2 > > You will also require a board in the shape of a 9x9 grid large enough to fit the pieces. Piece measurements from https://boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/10836/specific-standard-measurements-and-info-necessary-for-making-a-standard-shogi-se It's recommended to print these up-right and not on their side. If you want the engraving to be more shallow, modify the OpenScad file (search for "extrudeHeight") and re-export the pieces.
