A set of shogi pieces designed to illustrate each piece's movement capabilities, while substituting kanji characters for initialisms to facilitate English language understanding for those learning the game. A complete traditional shogi set consists of: Pawn (P) x 18 Lance (L) x 4 Knight (N) x 4 Silver (S) x 4 Gold (G) x 4 Bishop (B) x 2 Rook (R) x 2 King (K) x 2 Additionally, a shogi board with a 9x9 grid is required to accommodate the pieces. Edit: After receiving feedback on June 21, 2020, I shortened the Pawn line and enlarged the pictograms' arrows for enhanced clarity. The entire set of pieces was re-uploaded to ensure uniform depth in the cuts. Edit 2 (June 21, 2020): Two versions of the pieces were created: one with deeper cuts and another with slightly shallower cuts. The previous design featured shallow cuts on top and deep cuts on the reverse, which has been corrected.
