A set of shogi pieces that illustrate how each piece can move, as will as forgo the kanji for an initialism. Intended for English speakers learning the game. A complete traditional shogi set will include the following: Pawn (P) x 18 Lance (L) x 4 Knight (N) x 4 Silver (S) x 4 Gold (G) x 4 Bishop (B) x 2 Rook (R) x 2 King (K) x 2 You will also require a board in the shape of a 9x9 grid large enough to fit the pieces. Edit (6/21/2020): As per feedback, shortened the line on the pawn and increased the size of the arrows on the pictograms for greater clarity. Re-uploaded all pieces to ensure consistency in the depth of the cuts. Edit 2(6/21/2020): Created two versions, one with deeper cuts, and one with slightly shallower cuts. Previous design erroneously had shallow cuts on the top side and deep cuts on the reverse.
