Test your printer's bed adhesion, stringing, and retraction by unleashing poor Shocky the Cat's mischievous spirit. This model was born from a swift Sharpie sketch, digitized as a .jpg file through scanning, then expertly transformed into a vector image using Inkscape. The vector file was seamlessly imported into Fusion360, where it was skillfully extruded to become a printable masterpiece. With Cura at the helm, I sliced the model with precision, boosting the initial layer height to 0.3mm for optimal results. Retraction settings were also fine-tuned for maximum performance, and combing was cleverly disabled to prevent any pesky errors. Print speed was locked in at a smooth 70, while seven lines of skirts ensured the extruder ran like clockwork. As I printed on my trusty Anycubic i3 Mega, I took an innovative approach by spraying hair spray onto the print bed for added grip – a technique I'd never tried before with this model. The result was nothing short of exhilarating. Shocky's antics will soon be immortalized in flat black paint before taking pride of place on my wall as a cherished keepsake.
