I began crafting this 3D model by using Adobe Illustrator to draw a lightning bolt with precision, utilizing the pen tool to carefully replicate each strike so that I could rotate and reposition them to spell out letters and save the design. Next, I imported the text into Maya without any bevel, then added some private boxes to enable me to create dynamic lightning effects with guidance from the YouTube tutorial "The Maya Toolbelt - Create Lightning". I finally exported the 3D model as an FBX file, capturing the bolts in stunning detail.
