The original bracket that comes with the light requires suction cups. I got the light in 2006 and the suction cups have deteriorated over time. I created a bracket that uses double sided sticky tape to attach the light to the windshield. Its not perfect but it creates a solution to the problem. The light is sturdy on the windshield now and does not bounce around. I am able to work the buttons without the light falling or moving around.
