I own a Shizuoka AN-S Milling Machine in my garage, which I've converted to run on LinuxCNC. I'm looking to connect with other Shiz owners worldwide to share our experiences, documentation, and ideas with each other. Using flood coolant on the Shiz has been an eye-opening experience, and I use it frequently. One of the biggest challenges is keeping the coolant spraying consistently onto the cutter. To solve this issue, I've designed a collar that clamps onto the end of the bearing cap on my mill. This collar rides up and down with the quill and the cutter, ensuring proper coolant distribution. The collar features an input port for the coolant and two output holes for two cheap lock-line clones from eBay. To match the lock-line's thread type, I used a tap to create a 1/2-20 thread on the output ports. The input port was drilled to accommodate a piece of copper tubing, which serves as a hose barb. A length of Tygon tubing connects the copper tubing to one of the cheap centrifugal pumps from eBay, which costs only $9. With clean water-based coolant, this setup works effectively. My table drains into a bucket where the pump is located, and it's powered by a 12V wall adapter.
