The Supreme Union SHIVA – SHAKTI In the rich tapestry of Tantric cosmology, the entire universe is revealed as being created, nurtured, and sustained by two fundamental forces, forever intertwined in a flawless, unbreakable bond. These elemental powers or universal principles are known as Shiva and Shakti. Through tradition, these abstract concepts have been personified into distinct forms: that of a masculine deity and that of a feminine one. Shiva embodies the constitutive elements of existence, while Shakti represents the dynamic energy that brings life to these components and drives them forward. From a profound metaphysical perspective, the divine duo of Shiva-Shakti symbolizes two fundamental aspects of the universe's singular essence: the masculine principle, which personifies the abiding presence of God; and the feminine principle, which embodies His vital force, energizing and activating all phenomena in the material realm. From this point of view, Shakti embodies the inherent aspect of the Divine, encompassing active participation in creation. This Tantric understanding of the Feminine may have directed human focus towards the dynamic principles governing the universe, shifting attention from purely transcendental concerns. Shiva-Shakti serves as a transformative force for liberation in many yogic traditions. Represented by the Hindu god Shiva, embodying transformation and destruction of evil; Shakti is personified through his consort, Parvati (occasionally referred to as Mahadevi), manifesting her power. Consciousness, the realm of awareness embodied by Shiva, unites with the activating and energizing force of Shakti. The fusion within the crown chakra ignites transformation, catalyzing spiritual awakening in the form of enlightenment. Acquired privately in Odessa, Ukraine.
