Shire horse, draft horse

This model has one leg lifted up in the air. It does, however, stand very well and on its own. Shires are famous for their size and have at various times held world records both for the largest horse and for the tallest horse. One traditional use was for pulling brewer's drays for delivery of beer, and some are still used in this way; others are used for forestry, for riding and for commercial promotion. Minimum height for stallions is 173 cm (17.0 hands), geldings 168 cm (16.2 h) and mares 163 cm (16.0 h) minimum Shires are usually black, bay, or grey. They may not be roan or have large amounts of white markings. Mares and geldings may be black, bay, brown, grey or roan. In the UK stallions may not be chestnut, but the colour is allowed by the US association. Typical are also their large markings on both face and legs.   In order to fit 32mm (human) minis, I suggest scaling this model to a height of 42 to 45mm.
