While it's not fully developed, I see great potential for expanding this line with wrecks that can be used in various ways. Wrecks are versatile and can serve multiple purposes. They can mark objectives, create scenarios, or hold treasures. To enhance gameplay, having space ships and their wreckage would allow players to substitute the model for the wreck when a ship is shot down. The abstract shape of this model makes it easy to paint with simple colors. A black base coat and silver drybrushing will give it a decent look. Alternatively, different grey shades can be used, or add some depth with a brown wash to make it appear dirty. Darker colors on the blasted parts will add to its realism.
