Ship unloader for bulk material

This bachelor's degree project, completed in 2012, focuses on a screw-type panamax ship unloader for bulk materials like grains and fertilizers. It includes calculations of vertical and horizontal screw drives with expected performance ranging from 347 to 533 t/h. Additionally, beam stress calculations with ropes and hydraulic lifting systems led to the selection of a rope lifting device. The design also incorporates a rope lifting device and telescopic hydraulic cylinder for the bottom vertical screw conveyor's lifting and turning mechanism. Various bearings load calculations were made, counterweight values were selected for stable operation, and numerous other small-scale computations and designs were included in the project. The operator cabin design was borrowed from a tower crane assembly, and the belt conveyor under the central loader part was adapted from a 6-meter conveyor frame.
