Shimano I-Spec II spacer for XT/XTR brake levers
cults3d
The Shimano XT M-8000 and XTR M-9000 disk brakes offer the option to run i-Spec II direct-mount shifters, resulting in extra space built into the brake lever clamp for these. When you don't use direct-mount shifters, a spacer is needed to fill this gap. The brakes come with this spacer, but if your bike's brakes were installed with a shifter and no spacer was included, or if you lost the original spacer, a replacement might be necessary. Two STL files are available for download: one includes a locating peg, while the other does not. Either file will work fine, giving users a choice. The STL without the peg can likely print well without supports, although both versions were printed with supports for extra security. The Fusion 360 original model is also included, allowing users to make changes if needed. If modifications are made, please create a remix and link back to this file. Users who find this useful are encouraged to post their prints. For more information on Shimano's multiple i-Spec standards, consult the helpful BikeRadar article. A logical extension of this part would be to duplicate the Problem Solverse MisMatch 1.2 adapter. If you need adapters for the MisMatch system, others have already modeled the MisMatch 1.0 and MisMatch 2.0 adapters. However, mixing SRAM brakes with other components seems like a questionable idea; in my experience, no set of SRAM brakes has ever impressed me or lasted long.
