Shimano I-Spec II spacer for XT/XTR brake levers
thingiverse
The Shimano XT M-8000 and XTR M-9000 disk brakes offer an option for running i-Spec II direct-mount shifters, providing extra space in the brake lever clamp. To take advantage of this feature, you'll need a spacer to fill the gap if you don't run direct-mount shifters. Fortunately, these spacers are included with the brakes. However, if your bike came equipped with the shifter but didn't include the spacer, or if you lost it, a replacement will be necessary. There are two STL files available for download, one featuring a locating peg and another without it. Either file will work perfectly, so choose the one that suits your needs. The file without the peg can likely print without supports, although I printed both with supports to ensure quality. For those who want to make adjustments or modifications, I've included the original Fusion 360 model for reference. If you do decide to make changes, please create a remix and link it back to this original design. Your feedback is highly valued! If you find this part useful, please share your creations with me. For more information on Shimano's i-Spec standards, I recommend checking out the BikeRadar article for a comprehensive explanation. This part can be further extended by duplicating the Problem Solverse MisMatch 1.2 adapter. If you need MisMatch adapters, there are already models available for the MisMatch 1.0 and MisMatch 2.0 adapters on Thingiverse. While I'm not a fan of mixing SRAM brakes with other components, I do acknowledge that others have successfully modeled these adapters.
