Shimano Hollowtech II Crank Preload Adjuster

Shimano Hollowtech II Crank Preload Adjuster

This is a simplified version of mckgyver's preload adjuster tool for Shimano Hollowtech II cranks. While mckgyver did most of the work, I've made a few adjustments to make the model easier and quicker to print by removing the concave bottom and some text. The tool requires just 10g of filament and takes 30 minutes to print on a Bambu A1 Mini. I used 40% infill, with 4 walls on the interface, and made the interface part solid using a modifier (right-click on the model, select ‘add modifier’, and set infill to 100%), though this might be overkill. I also suggest using triangle infill to maximise rotational strength in the wheel part.Tighten the preload bolt to 0.7-1.5nm, which is essentially finger tight. I've tested on a Shimano MT510 crank and it does work.Although you may see some text on the parts in the photos, I've removed them to simplify printing. I've included screenshots of my slicing settings.I hope this helps my fellow cyclists!Best regards,TW
