I didn't care for the small handle on the Shimano provided pad spacer. Also, the clip is narrow and you have to search around for the pin which can be a hassle when you're in a rush. This version has an ample handle and guide prongs to help zero in on the pin easier by straddling the clip spring. I designed this with PLA in mind and reinforced the spring mechanism accordingly. It should have a solid snap. The picture shows it installed while my bike is mounted on an indoor trainer. I'm pleased with the results. Let me know how it works for you.
