Shimano bleed cup
thingiverse
I'm thrilled with how well these Shimano bleed cup designs work! There are two versions available, each with an adjustable internal diameter - 2mm and 2.5mm. Choose the one that suits your printer's capabilities best. If you're looking for easier bubble removal, opt for the larger inner diameter, but be aware that this will result in thinner screw walls. To ensure a sturdy build, I've included both options. For the plunger, simply use a BBQ skewer and trim it to prevent sharp edges while retaining its conical shape. Both plastic and wood materials are flexible enough to create an effective seal without compromising the fit. To print this design successfully: First, print just the threaded portion (including a small section of the base) to ensure the threads are solid and the fit is secure. I recommend printing three versions at once: one at 100% scale, one at 95%, and one at 105%. Test each version individually until you find the perfect fit. Use that scale percentage to print the entire cup, as each printer has its unique tolerance levels. The threads are designed to be close-fitting, allowing them to deform the thin walls when screwed in and creating a seamless seal without the need for an O-ring.
