Shimano BL-M505 brake bleed kit adaptor
prusaprinters

I ordered a bleed kit for my Shimano hydraulic brakes. I didnt know I needed the extended kit so the brake oil container adapter was missing. So I printed my own, which is a fraction in size compared to the official one and it works like a charm!

The brake lever model this was designed for is BL-M505.

Other parts needed:

Cuttable at least 2mm thick cuttable gasket sheet or rubber or something else that is water tight

Super glue to glue the gasket to the printed part I suggest printing this with a resin printer. FDM can struggle with the very small thread for the brake fluid container.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anycubic

Printer:

Photon

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.05 mm

Filament: Anycubic resin Transparent

Notes:

I printed straight on the print bed to save time.

Post-Printing

If you print directly on print bed you probably need to cut away the elephants foot. Otherwise it worked without any post prosessing

How I Designed This

Designed with Fusion360 and sliced with Chitubox

Category: Sport & Outdoors
