Shim to prevent J-head on Wade Extruder from rocking
thingiverse
I've recently created a reworked Prusa I3 printer with a modified Wade type extruder and an E3D-V6 hotend. While extracting filament, the head sometimes moves up and down slightly, causing it to wobble. This issue is fixed by sliding a shim into place at the base of the extruder where it connects to the head, which stops the movement. I'm making this solution available since I've noticed others experiencing this problem. If you have trouble fitting this shim, you may need to smooth out some material or adjust the .SCAD file accordingly. Place the narrow slot on top.
