Shim Bracket for Bicycle Disk Brake Conversion

To rectify an undesirable brake caliper angle, I designed a collar/shim to fit Amazon's disk brake conversion kit. The shim serves two purposes: filling space between the oversized mounting collar and ensuring a straight vertical grip for enhanced positioning. By doing so, the brake caliper now sits correctly and is sturdier than with rubber sleeves. Furthermore, ABS plastic provides durability and frame protection without affecting its finish. The B represents the bottom (for narrower tubes) and the line denotes the top (for correct angle). My mistake was printing with only 10% infill; a higher percentage (50-100%) is recommended for better performance. This project can benefit many older steel frame bicycles of similar tubing diameter, showcasing the fun in modernizing vintage MTN bikes.
