First, you need to convert a video or text into a suitable format using https://shihen.now.sh/ \r\n2. Copy the downloaded files (`offsets.bin` and `images.bin`) onto a microSD card. (then insert the microSD into SHIHEN)\r\n3. SHIHEN hourly wakes up and displays frames one by one. \r\n4. Sometimes you may find your best-loved scene/quote on SHIHEN.\r\n(It's also possible to manually fast forward frames by pressing the switch.)\r\n\r\n## Features\r\n- On board RTC offers 2+ years of battery life.([in theory](https://blc.now.sh/?config=eyJiYXR0ZXJ5Q2FwYWNpdHkiOiIzNTAiLCJzbGVlcEN1cnJlbnRNaWxpcyI6MC4wMDUsIndha2VDdXJyZW50TWlsaXMiOiI4MCIsIndha2V1cENvdW50IjoiMTIiLCJ3YWtldXBVbml0Ijo4NjQwMCwid2FrZXVwU2VjIjoiMSJ9))\r\n- By using [a dedicated web-based converter](https://shihen.now.sh/), you can quickly show any texts and videos on the device.\r\n- The 3D printable enclosure (written in OpenSCAD)\r\n\r\n\r\n## Components\r\n- ESP8266 (ESP-12F) \r\n- Waveshare 2.9 inch e-Paper (296x128) \r\n- RTC PCF8563 (or TLP5110) \r\n- microSD (or 3MiB internal flash) \r\n- 350mA LiPo battery\r\n- Type-C LiPo Charging board\r\n- Your favorite poems, quotes or scenes from a movie.\r\n\r\n## Tips\r\n- You can order soldered SHIHEN boards to [Seeed Fusion PCBA](https://www.seeedstudio.com/) service. And it just costs 10USD/board thanks to their Free PCBA trial promotion!\r\n- (What does "SHIHEN" stand for? - It comes from a Japanese word "しへん", which has two different meanings; "紙片" means "a piece of paper"; "詩片" means "a piece of poetry".)\r\n\r\n
\r\n \r\n
(Fast-forward mode at x1 speed.)
\r\n
\r\n\r\n\r\n## Links\r\n- Main repository https://github.com/likeablob/shihen/\r\n- Hackaday.io https://hackaday.io/project/168039-shihen
