Shifter+Ebrake Mount for Playseat Challenge
cults3d
This is my mount for a Logitech driving force shifter on a Playseat Challenge. It mounts everything far away from the opening mechanism (mounted on the right side of the seat). Should work for our right-hand drive friends as well if you mirror it in the slicer, but I haven’t personally tested that. The mount uses the curved section of the tube to keep it’s orientation, so it won’t slip down over time. The design uses M4x30 screws to secure it, and there are slots and cutouts for nuts or nylocks. The holes are sized to cut their own threads if you don’t have nuts available, but I would recommend using nuts, as using reverse on the shifter does put a fair amount of downward torque on the mount. The shifter mounts with M6x16 screws, there should be 2x that came with the playseat, or you can source your own. There are two additional screw holes between the shifter and the mounting boss. These fit my DIY e-brake (available for free here on cults). This setup is compact, clean, and still allows the seat to fully fold away even with the wheel deck tucked. I’ve been through multiple revisions of this design to get to this iteration, but if you have recommendations for future refinement I’ll gladly take that feedback in the comments!
