Shifter Boot for H box
pinshape
I designed a custom shift boot for my H box, giving it a sleeker look reminiscent of my trusty old '86 Toyota. To enhance realism, I added a bead of solder around the shifter, allowing the boot to flex like a genuine unit when shifting gears. You'll need to move quickly with the solder, though - the shifter can get scorching hot, causing the top of the boot to melt. To determine where to apply the solder, I removed the shifter from its housing and pulled up the shift ball into the boot, creating a few small bumps on the shifter to guide my application. Once complete, I reassembled the shifter to avoid any further damage. Printer Settings: * Brand: Wanhao * Printer Model: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 * Rafts: No * Resolution: 0.2 * Infill: 90% For a smooth print, use a brim and set your infill to 90%. I attached the shift boot to my H box using four M2 screws drilled into its top surface. Due to its thin design (only one shell thick), you might need to slow down your printer's speed. The boot was printed with Ninja Flex material.
