Shift knob for Subaru Forester
thingiverse
I needed to create something special for my Subaru Forester. Since Forester shift knobs are hard to find, I took matters into my own hands and designed one myself. It was my first time using a 3D program independently, but I'm thrilled with how it turned out. :)\nTo make printing easier, I decided to split the design in two parts. To hold the top and bottom pieces together, I used six M3x20mm screws. The knob itself simply attaches to the shifter without any nuts.\nI created this design using Onshape. For my print, I chose PetG (Torwell) filament on my trusty Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n Wanhao Duplicator i3\n \n Rafts: \n Not Needed\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.2 mm\n \n Infill: \n 40%\n \n Notes: \n Before screwing in the M3 fasteners, I drilled out the holes with a 2.5mm drill bit to avoid excessive force.\nPost-Printing
