Shift Knob for Mazda Mx 5 2nd gen 6-Speed
thingiverse
Just crafted this wooden shift knob replica from an original Nardi shift knob found on the Mazda MX-5 NB or 2nd gen, commonly referred to as the Mazda Miata in Germany. This replica should fit other cars as well, featuring a thread size of M10x1.25. Designed for the Ultimaker 3 dual extrusion printer, this wooden shift knob replica can be created using various materials and techniques. For those with a single FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printer, try printing only the base and filling in the H-pattern and numbers with nail polish for a unique touch. After printing, sand the shift knob to smooth out any rough edges and apply a coat of varnish to give it a glossy finish. My own replica was printed using Corkfill from ColorFabb with black inlays, resulting in a distinctive and eye-catching design.
