Shift Knob for manual car
thingiverse
I couldn't find a shift knob that met my price expectations. I printed this in ABS so I could easily bond the parts together using a chemical weld. I used a flange nut with a 17mm hex head pressed into the bottom section and then JB welded it firmly in place. To give the knob some added weight, I mixed two-part epoxy and BBs. If you want an even heavier knob, lead shot may be a better option. Without a scale, I can only estimate the weight, but the knob feels substantial in my hand. Once the epoxy sets, use acetone to chemically weld the two halves together.
