Shielded Stop Button for Wanhao Duplicator i3 and Maker Select

This is a shielded stop switch designed specifically for the Monoprice Maker Select and Wanhao Duplicator i3 3D printers, along with several other models. I created this device so you can instantly halt a print job if needed, without risking unintended interruptions. For the hinge, use a 1.75mm filament piece. I secured mine using 3M double stick tape, and it seems to be holding well. The push-pin/button simply floats inside the hole, not attached in any way. Update: The button has been significantly improved, and the cover stays open once lifted. Update 10/2/17: A new version of this design includes a built-in hinge and base, so there's no assembly required! Simply print it without supports, with the base laying flat. Print Settings: Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.15 Infill: 50 Notes: I was able to print mine without supports, but depending on how you position it, you may need supports for the cover. Since this part is so small, cooling between layers might be a problem... You can fix this by printing the model with another item. Post-Printing: After printing, use a piece of raw 1.75mm filament to create the hinge pin. You can glue it in or use a hot object (like a hot glue gun or your extruder on lower heat) to mushroom the ends so they won't fall out.
