The default Ender 3 and other Creality printers' hotend fan assembly and part cooling duct have two significant issues: Limited airflow by the part cooling fan but excessive parasite air flow from the hotend cooling fan. The first problem is detrimental to prints requiring effective cooling, such as small size PLA objects. However, it is somewhat offset by the second issue. The second problem poses a challenge for prints that require minimal cooling to prevent warping, including large size PETG and ABS materials. For the initial problem, several simple solutions are available, like the fan duct from which this thing was remixed. Yet, all solutions I found to address the second problem involve replacing the entire fan assembly, take considerable time to print, are not easy to print, weigh a lot, and sometimes obstruct the nozzle's view, such as the Hero Me and Pets Fang. Here is a straightforward solution: A compact fan duct that directs part cooling air directly to the nozzle while keeping hotend cooling air mostly at bay. Given what I've learned about manufacturing tolerances on the original hotend covers, this thing might not fit your printer due to large discrepancies. If so, please let me know and we'll explore possible solutions, potentially including multiple models with varying sizes. It must be printed with supports that only touch the build plate because of its flat overhangs. Removing these supports is easy using a blade since they are all accessible from the sides. I believe it may not work with PLA due to its proximity to the heater block. I used PETG and it functions perfectly fine.
