In the high-fantasy realm I'm crafting, a mystical heater shield holds court. The Centipede Shield serves as a seal for an otherworldly evil spirit, a dark presence that permeates this ancient artifact. At its core lies Legion, an undead creature forged from the collective souls of one hundred brave warriors. This spectral entity, known also by its given name, has taken on many forms over time, but it's in its guise as a gargantuan centipede with a human visage that it finds favor. Each segment of its elongated body represents a single soul, and though they resemble skulls with two pulsing orbs for eyes, there's an aura of life about them, as if the very essence of death itself had been distilled into this monstrous form.
