Shield Battery from Apex Legends
thingiverse
You'll often stumble upon something in a video game that makes you want to create it for yourself. The Shield Battery from Apex Legends is roughly to scale, standing at about 420mm. It feels great and looks exactly as I hoped when it's finished. I'm very pleased with how it turned out, but there's definitely room for improvement. If you have better skills, feel free to remix it and make it even better! I made this light up display to go next to my computer. It doesn't have any special internal mechanisms to make it move smoothly or behave just like it would in-game, so I'm sure many of you could come up with something awesome. I'd love to see what you do with it! Thanks for checking out this project and I appreciate any feedback you have. (I'm still learning but having a whole lot of fun doing so.) You can check out the making of shield cell video on YouTube, which is very similar: https://youtu.be/fBpz4td_OGs. There are many parts to this project, so it requires patience with the print time and final assembly. You'll need to glue some inner parts and outer parts together, and draw or paint any details you want to add after they're printed.
