Sherpa Voron v0.1 dragon tool head. 40mm fan mod.
thingiverse
I somehow managed to cram a 40mm fan into the v0.1 hot end to solve heat creep issues causing jams pwith the high flow dragon hot end while printing with PLA Some deign changes becides the ability to mount a 40mm fan are -ability to use up to 10mm long m3 heat set inserts for mounting the Sherpa. -being able to use all four screws to mount the dragon hotend vs two from the original model. -rounded out the intakes for the parts cooling fans as model must be printed with support anyways One con to keep in mind is it WILL tap the door panel at max forward y travel, so you'll lose about 5mm of build volume if printing with the door shut. You must cannibalize your fan down to just the blades and circuit board (leaving bit of plastic on the very center that retains the bushing) and super glue it into place. I used a Dremel and wire cutters. Mileage may vary, so I strongly recommend testing the fan before gluing into place. Print with support, in uploaded orientation. ABS or ASA 0.15-0.2mm layer height 4-5 walls 4-6 perimeters Fans used are winsinn 5v 40mm fans. Amazon link: https://a.co/d/0ZLIWun
