Sherman S - Sur Ron Light Bee Seat Mount
thingiverse
A 3D printed mount to mount the Sur Ron Light Bee seat on the Sherman S. It is possible that this mount would work on other similar seats such as the Luna seat but as I don't have one of those I am not able to check if dimensions are exactly the same or test it but it would make sense that they would have the same universal mounting system, please report back if you try this. The Sur Ron Light Bee seat is a comfortable seat that can be found for a decent price on AliExpress, just search for "Sur Ron Light Bee seat" on AliExpress and you will get several hits, one downside with a seat this large is that it might hit the inner side of your legs while standing which can be deal breaker and major turn off for some riders. This 3D print (2 parts that interlink) are screwed to the seat with 4xM6 Nuts and 4x Spacers and is then attached to the trolley handle using only Velcro (both Adhesive and double sided Hook and loop strap recommended, see photos), if installed as recommended per photos it's very stable and won't come off of it's own. This mount is designed so that you can install the seat in either direction you want so you can flip it 180 degrees from the way I have mounted it if that is your preference, one important thing to keep in mind if you plan on sitting on the thin part of the seat is that the bottom of the seat needs to be re-enforced first with some hard material and possibly epoxy or it will 100% crack and break sooner or later, the thin part of the seat is not designed to be sat directly on, it's mounted like that on a Sur Ron bike but a Sur Ron rider still sits on the fat part regardless. Installation Instruction: 1) Screw the 3D prints as shown onto the seat using the M6 nuts and spacers, spacers are important because the nuts are quite small in diameter. 2) Install Velcro any way you want but the way I've done it in my photos works really well, you want as much Velcro contact as possible between the trolley and the seat not so much for adhesion strength but for sideways stability but as to eliminate play so that the seat does not feel "loose" when riding standing up. 3) Install the seat onto the trolley handle in your preferred direction while the trolley handle is in it's up-folded position as to make sure the seat will not be in the way for operation of the trolley handle. 4) Optional but recommended: Use a double sided hook and loop strap to secure the mount even further onto the trolley handle as in the photo 3D printing settings: This 3D print should be printed in TPU 95a. All those various holes in the models are there to create extra walls and reinforce the vertical strength of the print, therefor a lot of infill is not necessary. Walls/Perimeters: 2 Infill: 15% Grid Support: Yes
