Sherline CNC Motor Mount V2
thingiverse
This is a comprehensive overhaul of "Printed Motor Mount for Sherline Machines" by tymm (Thing # 301462). The original component was deficient in several key aspects. To rectify this, I consulted the technical drawings found within the Sherline instructions (https://sherline.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/6700inst.pdf) to accurately determine the dimensions and placement of essential features. Although I have not yet installed this part, I am currently printing it and intend to upload accompanying photographs. It is crucial to note that flange bearings with an R4 configuration are required (two per axis). Furthermore, lead screw couplers (either sourced from Sherline or fabricated in-house) will also be necessary. Additionally, the CNC conversion for the lathe necessitates a distinct lead screw than what comes standard with the lathe. More details and updates will follow...
