Sheridan PGP2 Feed Plug (Reinforced)

Sheridan PGP2 Feed Plug (Reinforced)

thingiverse

This replacement feed plug surpasses the fragile speed feed on the Sheridan PGP2, greatly improving feeding and requiring no permanent modifications to the marker. It is held in place by two #015 o-rings rather than a groove cut into the feed tube. The plug extends outward for a better grip. Materials Required (Updated Version) * Two #015 o-rings * One 2" carriage bolt * One washer for carriage bolt * One nut for carriage bolt * Blue thread locker The updated version utilizes standard carriage bolts instead of machine screws, and includes the option to install an end cap to conceal the nut and bolt in the rear. Both versions function well, but this one appears cleaner when completed. When assembling, it is advisable to trim down excess bolt length with a cutoff wheel or hacksaw. If your rear washer is too wide for the recess, remove material from the washer, not from the plug. The end cap fits snugly in place. Materials Required (Original Version) * Two #015 o-rings * One bolt at least 45 mm in length with a maximum diameter of 4 mm and a low profile head * Two washers with a maximum diameter of 16 mm - the wider, the better * One nut * Blue thread locker When installing the bolt, ensure that the head is facing the face of the feed plug and the nut is positioned in the rear. Install wide washers at each end to prevent layer separation due to repeated insertion and removal. Failure to reinforce the plug with a bolt will eventually lead to layer separation inside the feed tube. Dimensions of the plug face are adjusted to accommodate the washer and bolt. Trim down any excess length from the bolt if desired. A light coating of marker oil or marker grease on the o-rings is advisable. Be sure to apply blue thread locker to the nut to prevent it from working loose, as red thread locker is not recommended.
