Shendrones Squirt Battery Strap Mount for Bottom Plate
thingiverse
I crafted a custom battery strap mount for my Squirt v2's bottom plate, allowing me to securely attach my Osmo Pocket on top. The design leverages the 30.5x30.5 mm holes and cleverly fits over bolt heads situated in the 20x20 mm holes. Since I was utilizing the 20x20 holes for a stack setup, I required a bespoke mount that could accommodate the bolt heads. The 5 mm thick version boasts a slot designed to adjust the strap position easily, thanks to its sufficient depth. A square recess is also present, ideal for attaching velcro or Ummagrip. This design effectively covers cap head bolts in the 20x20 configuration, which is exactly what I'm using right now due to my current lack of button head bolts. In contrast, the 4 mm "thin" version features a shallower slot that prevents most straps from gliding smoothly. However, it still provides recessions deep enough for button head bolts in the 20x20 position. Despite not having tried this version yet, I'm confident it will work as intended. For optimal performance, mounting the mount with M3 button head bolts is recommended, ensuring they won't protrude above the mount and interfere with the battery. Cap head bolts, on the other hand, may come into contact with the battery.
