Shendrones Flaco TINY SHARK Pod
thingiverse
Inspired by May Day FPV's Floss 2.1 Turtle Fin Canopy I created a canopy specifically designed for my Shendrones FLACO fleet. The design breaks down into two sections, allowing the AXII and Rx antenna mount to remain in place when the canopy is removed. The AXII mount will also function seamlessly with a dipole or Vee VTX antenna. I utilize the pod with a single PDB RacerStar StarF4S 30A AIO, FrSky XSR, and IRC Tramp, so I designed it flat; however, you might be able to accommodate a double stack (4in1 ESC + FC) if kept low. The pod should generally work for other frames with a 40x40 spacer distance as well. Due to the varying mounting hole to lens distances I use, there are two files provided for the pod. The Foxeer version features camera mounting holes moved back by 1.8mm, accommodating my micro predator's 11.2mm protruding lens. The supported camera angles range from 30° to 55°, with lower angles potentially revealing props even in a stretched Flaco configuration. I printed the design using Hobbyking Flexible (TPU) and Taulman 645 (PA). The canopy without AXII mount weighs approximately 14g in TPU and 9g in PA. All parts require support and a brim for optimal printing results. Designed with AutoDesk Fusion 360, this creation showcases my appreciation for Andy Shen's Flaco frame design, which has remained the perfect racing frame for me after over 12 months – boasting lightweight construction, sturdy build quality, ease of maintenance, and incredibly fast replacement times for broken arms.
